        McCoy was known to throw fights. The expression "Is this the real McCoy?" comes from him. Did he throw the Corbett fight? Maybe not, can't say I was alive to see it, or have seen video. Maybe Joe Gans didn't throw his fight against Terry McGovern either... That fight I however have seen.

          they both fight with their chins up and look sloppy as hell. The only thing i liked was the counter one of the dudes threw around the 10 second mark

            Corbett liked to use head feints, basically sticking his chin out, using his quick reflexes to avoid the punch and counter.

            Both were old men by the time this film was taken though.

            I don't think the strategy would work as well in the modern era although you see the likes of Roy Jones and Pernell Whitaker doing it. In Corbett's era most fighters would throw one punch at a time, with little combination punching.

            Kid McCoy was a legend yet you don't hear much of him these days. Fought all of them and had a great lifestory.
