This isn't uncommon in boxing... Some of them don't seem to know how old they are (& neither does anyone else)
Denis Andries also falls into this category, as well as several mexicans & a **** load of old timers... Without birth cert evidence, the controversy becomes a mystery..
I'm therefore unable to answer the question, but in Archies case, it was sometime during the cretaceous period, when fighting to feed was the norm....
