17.10 - On November 7, at Gleason's gym in Brooklyn, NY will feature an evening of legendary boxing to benefit the Twin Towers fund. Two-time world champion Iran "the Blade" Barkley involved other legends such as Jose Torres, Bobby Czyz, Micheal Olajide jr.,Lonnie Bradley, Gerry Cooney, Mike Breland and more will box in this exhibition.
Barkley's one of the most exciting champion of our time with devastiating punching power. He made his professional debut on December 9, 1982 by destroying Larry Jordan in round two in his first fight.
Barkley and other New Yorkers will participate in a Fund raisen for the fire fighters, police officers and others the WTC ********* attack could have affected.
The former world champion has two wins over legendary Tommy Hearns to his credit, first fight in 1988 ended in round three knockout while the rematch 1992 went to the distance (12 rounds)
Barkley was regarded as one of the devastating puncher of our time. He was very exciting and gave us everything he had during his pro career.
Your thoughts on Hopkins-Trinidad fight?
What a great fight. It could be a good rematch too. Hopkins fought a smart and good fight. He did what he was suppose to do. I'm happy for him and I know he'll handle business. He'll be fine just needs a rest for now. He still owe to to Don King.

What's your involvement in the Twin Towers Fund Raisen exihibation for the
fire fighters, Police Officers and others the WTC terror attack may have affected?
I'm excited to be a part of this. We in boxing can make a difference too in the Twin Towers fund raisen. We're going to raise money for people that lost their love ones in the WTC terror attack. Different New York boxers and people in the business are coming together to do something for these people. It's a worthy cause. Hopefully, this event will elevate me back, if Michael Jordon could make a come back, I should be able to too. People don't want to see Holyfield fight Ruiz again. The exihibition for the Fund raisen will take place on November 7, at Gleason Gym in Brooklyn, NY. I know a lot of fans will be there.
What can you tell us about this exhibition November 7, at Gleason gym?
It's going to be an exciting evening so we're asking fans to be there and watch us do our thing. A lot old pros are involved like Michael Olajide, Bobby Czyz, Jose Torres, Boby Cassidy, Gerry Cooney and other New Yorkers.
What's the objective of your organization, boxer for boxer?
The organization was formed to help fighters who need assistance with medical. They can get more information by writing us at; Boxer for Boxer, 2645 3rd Avenue, Bronx, NY 10451
It's an organization for retired fighter who may need help. Our objective is to help those fighters who can't fight anymore due to various reasons but need funds to surrive.
How did the press conference go?
It was a pritty good press conference where we talked about the Twin Towers fund riasen exhitibation.
Your thoughts on the Rahman-Lewis rematch?
I think Rahman should beat Lewis again. He did it before he can do it again. If I was Rahman I would taken the fight to Africa again. I know Lewis was terrified by that lost, he wanted to turn into Hollywood what's going to make him focus this time.
How about Ruiz-Holyfield rematch?
Ruiz could beat Holyfield
Judah-Tszyu bout?
Another great fight. Zab is getting into a tough fight here, he needs to be be focus and serious. I feel he's going to win. He has good oxing ability and fast hands.
How would you compare you too fights with Hearns?
All were good fights.
Which of your fights do you consider toughtest fight?
All my fights were tough fights
Describe your fight with Duran? Toney? Benn? Nunn?
Duran fight was an ok fight. Bob Arum wanted him to fight "Sugar" Ray Leonard. I know Ray didn't want to fight me because he knew what I'm capable of doing.
Toney fight, I was rush to do again other set up.My apartment was broken into. I beat myself in that fight. I had trouble loosing the weight. I knew it was going to be a bad night for me
Benn was a fight Bob Arum had me set up to loose. The guy was throwing dirty shots and at one point I was on my knee. He's a very dirty fighter I got hit with shots Nigel should have been disqualified.
Michael Nunn was a boring fight, all he did all night was run and I know I won. It was another Arum set up.
Any words to your fans who think you should quit boxing?
That's nice but they should pay my bills then I'll retire from Boxing.

I'm talking to Lou Dibella, if he can help me get a couple of fights.
We're also working on my book. Still on it.
