    Yeah, they're some very good ones. One of the first guys I thought of was Viruet. He was a really amazing fighter and I still can't figure out how he never won a title. Well, I can actually, he fought in one of the toughest lightweight eras I can remember. Another guy from that same era was Hector Thompson. A stunning lightweight who fought everyone and beat nearly everyone. His only two title fights were unfortunately against the greats Duran and Cervantes in which he lost both.

    Each of these guys would be great champs if fighting today. Sadly, because of fighting in such a time they never got the recognition they deserved apart from a few of the purists who remember their fights and the skill they showed in fighting some of the best ever fighters. Thompson and Viruet's (the first one especially) fights with Duran were simply brilliant.

            Duran - Warrior. Plain and simple.
            Chavez - A machine.
            Pazienza - His return after major injury was inspiring to say the least.
