Fighters Who Left The Game Too Soon....

Here's an article from MaxBoxing about fighters whose careers ended too early. It makes for a good read.....

Prince Naz left the game too soon. Too much emphasis on bloody winning nowadays! he didn't need the ****. If he stuck around I reckon he would have lost to Morales on points but nailed him a few times, beat tapia and overpowered JMM who schooled Pacman. After that Pacman would have got KTFO'd with his dirty wild sloppy left hand that makes him fall over. that little pinoy was just in right place at right time. The way to beat Naz is to box him as Marco showed. Anyonw who tried fighting him would meet an unmagnamonious end.

Hamed was washed up before he fought Barerra.

If anything he retired too late.

Rubbish. he was past his best which is why Marco finally gave up his diet shakes, but far far from 'washed up'. He was still a big puncher and would have given a few people trouble. He retired 2 years too early IMO. Tapia, Marquez and Pacman followed by Morales would have been an ideal farewell. Adding 3 historic KO's and a points loss to that record would have done him no harm!

Nice article. Can't wait to see part two. I am pretty sure that will include Salvador Sanchez, Les Darcy, and Stanley Ketchel off the top of my head. Anyone else a big Pancho Villa fan? I love watching his style.

Salvador Sanchez, Floyd Mayweather, Ricardo Lopez, Aaron Davis, Ike Ibeabuchi, Stanley Ketchel, Leotis Martin, Gerald Mclellan, Gene Tunney, Marcel Cerdan are 10 fighters I felt career ended too soon, several of which ended tragically

I never was a big Hamed fan, so I was glad when he got whupped. I, too, am anxious for Part 2 of the article.

The list is a bit misleading given the title, I thought it was going to consist of names who retired from boxing in the normal fashion rather than dying or suffering career-ending injuries.

Same here. Doesn't sound like it's going to be all doom and gloom but more or less about people who went to prison or lost heart too early. I did expect the prisoners but not the people who died. Chico should be on that list. The man had style!

Corrales had style, that's for sure.
