Question here again because I really don't know and it irks me.
Why did fighters defend their titles ony like twice per year when they fought like 14 times per year? Is it because they had to pay sanctioning fees and didn't want to? Even then they could have still defended the title like 6 times. I mean Robinson had like 5 title defenses at Welterweight, but he racked up like 30 wins while he was champion.
Maybe it's best they didn't defend their title on a weekly basis, but why not defend it a little more.
