hagler actually had quite a good reach on him, but ive never realy seen him use it that much are ther any of his fights where he really did use mainly his reach? and was he still like an agressive come forward fighter with this style?

Hagler used his jab and counterpunched a lot. He was very happy with staying on the outside, and in fact he was amazing in fighting while moving backwards.

This until he was robbed of his first title win against Antuofermo.

After that... well only 3 of his remaining fights went the distance.

Hagler was better as a counterpuncher. But he could do many things.


You can see him use his reach in this highlight.

Hagler thought he was robbed so many times he wanted to take the fight's in his own hands rather than let it go to the judges. That's why you see him go forwards a lot more as he got older.

Sadly for him when he let another fight go the distance he was robbed again, atleast in his opinion.

hagler was more of a boxer and counter-puncher who circled laterally and boxed behind the jab than he was an aggressive come-forward fighter.

you really should watch hagler's fights pre-1984/85, or even after 1985, watch how many times hagler jabbed mugabi in the head.

A couple things

1)Hagler used his reach very well in his straight right/leaping jab that he caught so many with on the many to finishing them.

2)Cuzfozzy is almost as ******ed as Azteca

He changed his style a little after the Antuofermo fight. He was boxing more than brawling in that fight and got robbed.

what would be a good fight to watch then where he showed his reach
