One fight that sticks out in my mind was Ray Leonard and Wilfredo Benitez. Both guys went toe to toe with skill, it was beautiful. Ike Quartey and Fernando Vargas' fight showed a lot of accurate punching, which I think is an imperitive skill.

** Zahir Raheem Vs Smoke Gainer....gonna be more feints than punches, more slips than clinches, more ducks than a quackery, more air punches than an Asian air guitar ******!
I'm glad to see you mention Leonard - Benitez. It was an awesome fight between two great fighters but for some reason it's often overlooked. I think for sheer drama Leonard - Hearns I deserves some consideration too.
Yeah, I scored Ali - Frazier I closer than the judges did. While on my card Frazier didn't NEED the knockdown, it essentially iced the fight for him. It's good to remember that Ali was almost certain to face biased judging. Ali was NOT a very popular person at that time and the New York State Athletic commision was the first to ban him after he refused induction. Madison Square Garden was enemy territory for him.
