    He was another one of those guys who was born in the wrong time period. If he had been born after Joe Louis who knows how great he could have been. I think his nickname says everything you need to know about the time "The Boston Tar Baby" Nuff said.

      I got about two and a half minutes in, and what's this I hear, something about Flynn beating Langford in a previous meeting?

      Yeah, I don't think so, nor do I understand why boxrec would use some year old reference to the fight as a draw when there's perfectly good references of the fight from the day after. Like, for example, the Los Angeles Times, which just happened to feature this written opinion from the fight's very location;

      "A little middleweight black fighter, Sam Langford, beat the local heavyweight, Jim Flynn, in ten rounds last night at McCarey's Naud Junction fight house. Wildly rushing Fireman does little real execution while Langford's blows are timely and deal out punishment." - LA Times, Feb 10th, 1910
