Thanks, glad you like the site !

Are you thinking I should split the page up because its loading slow, or because there's just so damn much text in there ?

If its the latter, once I added the latest new info, I split the stories up into sections with headings so there would be an easier to find again stopping point to come back to later, but maybe I replace "The Man" link and create two or more new links ? But then what would be best to title each new section ?

The movie "Cinderella Man" started it. I didn't recall that Baer was the way he was portrayed, so I researched online...and researched and researched and pretty soon I had so much info I thought I'd share it all. In 2 weeks I typed over 15,000 words for the site. If I didn't put the site together, when people thought of Max Baer years from now, they would think "oh yah, the guy who killed two men and treated women like ****."

After about 10,000 hits since I made it live in January, I feel a heavier responsibility to get the content exactly right, to double or triple confirm my source material, to make it a fun site as well as educational, so yep, I take the job seriously.

Besides that, I'm having a blast learning about him. He grabbed life by both hands and both feet and swept everyone else along with him. He was more active in 'good works' after he retired from boxing than people know and just as popular until the day he died as during his boxing heyday. And nope, nobody in the family met him, they just have fond memories of being entertained by him, and I want to introduce those memories to people today.

Okay enough, I get carried away huh ?
