George Benton trained Leon for that fight.

I have an old ****zine after Leon beat Ali and Benton said that if Leon fought Joe Frazier you couldn't make a fight like that because they would both destroy each other.

I think that Joe and Brian boxed each other on an episode of "Wings," and they were brothers. Before any real punches were exchanged, the two thought back to previous episodes where they worked as a team to make the most successful New England municipal airport in Nantuket and called the whole thing off. Betters and pay-per-view ticket holders were extremely sore, as this was a crappy way to end an episode of an already sub-par show.

Eddie Futch didn't "strike gold" with Frazier in the Ali fight. Frazier lost both fights with Ali with Futch in the corner.

Many historians believe ken norton beat ali in all 3 fights. Ali was given the wins so he could make his claim as the best ever.

Child, he definetely didn't beat Ali in all three fights. He clearly lost the second one, and the third one could have went either way. He did win the first one though.

Their 3rd fight is the 4th most contoversial decision ever in heavyweight boxing. Many people are convinced norton was robbed, they just didnt want him to win the trilogy. The guy was crying for god's sakes, why cuz politics of boxing sucks. Ali knows deep down inside that ken norton was indeed his toughest opponent and he had his number. Rest in peace eddie futch, you trained a guy that haunted ali for 3 straight fights.

It depends on how how you score a fight. Some people score it different than others. By the way, do you really think Norton beat Ali the second time?

IMO ali won the fight against jimmy young, he won the fight against shavers and he proly won the 2nd fight against norton. But come on, the third fight was a complete gift, it was handed to him on a silver platter. Norton beat him, nuff said.

Norton didn't exactly dominate the fight. It was close. I still say it could've gone either way.
