German heavyweight Agit Kabayel (24-0) has relinquished the EBU title. As to why, well, Kabayel and his promoter SES likely have bigger fights in sight following the impressive and on paper surprising win over Arslanbek Makhmudov December 23 in Riyadh.
This leaves mandatory challenger Tom Schwarz (29-1) to fight the highest ranked available boxer for the vacant title. Who that will be is an open question for now.
Schwarz, now promoted by Fides Sports, suffered his only loss to Tyson Fury but the win column lacks "names".

2024 has opened with a bang for Italian boxing as promoter Alessandra Branco and her A & B Events along with Team Magnesi has reached a deal with Japanese Kameda Promotion for a fight between WBC # 6 ranked super feather Michael Magnesi (23-1) and WBC # 5 Masanori Rikiishi (14-1).
The fight will go ahead on March 22 most likely in Rome. The winner is likely to become mandatory challenger for WBC king O'Shaquie Foster.

Danish featherweight Sarah Mahfoud (13-1) will now not defend the title on January 13 in Copenhagen against Italian Michele Braga (6-0). The reason is that Mahfoud is the mandatory challenger for Skye Nicolson and the parties involved have until January 12 to reach an agreement and if that doesn't happen a date for purse bids will be called so the WBC stopped Mahfoud from fighting.
Braga will now fight UK-based Nigerian Elisabeth Oshoga (6-0) for the vacant WBC Silver title.

Danish heavyweight Morten Givskov makes as previously reported his pro debut February 3 in Kolding. The opponent has now been announced and it will be against Pole Pawel Sowik (3-13).
On the same show lightweight prospect Elias Idrissi (1-0) is in against Jakub Laskowski (4-27-1).
In the headliner WBO Euro champ Jakob Bank (11-0) defends the title against dangerous veteran Ronny Landaeta (21-5).
