WBA/WBO flyweight champion Juan Francisco "Gallo" Estrada will be ringside tonight to watch Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez attempt to become the first Nicaraguan to win world titles in four different weight classes. Across the ring from him will be Estrada's countryman, WBC super flyweight champion Carlos "El Principe" Cuadras.
The bout will air live on HBO along with the rematch between Yoshihiro Kamegai and Jesus Soto Karass and the replay of this afternoon's bout between WBC/WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and unbeaten welterweight titlist Kell Brook that takes place in the United Kingdom.
While Estrada is rooting for his compatriot, he feels that Gonzalez has too much for him. Estrada faced Gonzalez in 2012 and gave the undefeated fighter his toughest challenge to date.
"Well I'm Mexican and I want Cuadras to win because he is Mexican but honestly I think Chocolatito is going to win. If Cuadras doesn't fight an intelligent fight - Chocolatito can knock him out in the later rounds - but if he's intelligent in the ring and boxes him I think he can go the distance," Estrada stated.
Estrada said that he is willing to face either one of them in the future.
"If they give me a chance to go in the ring I will but regardless of that I'm ready to fight whoever wins," Estrada told krikya360.com.
