Former IBO cruiserweight world champion Danny Green has warned Antonio Tarver that he won't "hang around forever" as negotiations for a boxing rematch continue to drag on.

Green is desperate to win back his cruiserweight world title off Tarver, even declaring his willingness to travel to the American's home town of Orlando to stage the bout.

Tarver, who stopped Green after the ninth round when the pair met in Sydney in July, has indicated he's also keen for the re-match to go ahead.

But negotiations to date have proved fruitless, with Green describing the process as a frustrating one.

"I want to go and fight in America, and he's saying how big a deal and how big a name he is there, so I don't see why he wouldn't want to," Green said.

"Unless he's not much of a big deal back home - maybe he's talking it up and he really isn't much of a big deal. But he said it, he said Showtime wants to do it ... he's talking about having a hometown fight in Orlando, so it makes sense.

"But I'm not going to wait around forever.

"He's going to have to make a decision sooner or later."

Green remains hopeful a deal will eventually be sorted.
