Conrad Cummings has announced the first change to his team after last week’s news that he had split with the McGuigans and Cyclone Promotions.

The Coalisland middleweight revealed the news in a statement released on social media last Wednesday that he had cut ties with his promotional outfit as well as manager Barry McGuigan and his son Shane who assumed the role of head trainer.

Cummings, the current WBO European champion, has a record of 11-1-1 with five early and has been out of the ring since March.

But the 26-year-old disclosed on Tuesday, via Twitter, that he has teamed up with a new trainer in the shape of Jamie Moore.

Former fighter Moore has been in the news recently after he was picked as the next cornerman for three-time world champion Carl Frampton following his similar split with the McGuigans and Cyclone.

“Excited to announce I've teamed up with [Jamie Moore] as my new trainer,” Cummings tweeted. “I can't wait to start the next chapter of my career!”

Moore quoted the tweet and went on to say that his gym in Astley had gained a new addition.

Further details regarding other changes to the team of Cummings will be revealed in due course, as will his next fight date after he expressed an interest in fighting on the undercard of Frampton’s SSE Arena homecoming in Belfast on November 18, which will be screened exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation.
