According to BBC Sport, there is a going to be a battle of former world champions when Carl Frampton and Isaac Dogboe collide in California on the 30th of November.

Last month, Frampton pulled out of a bout against Emmanuel Dominguez. He suffered a freak hand injury after a hotel lobby structure fell on his hand and created an injury, only a few days before that fight was scheduled to happen.

Frampton has been out of the ring since losing a twelve round decision to Josh Warrington in a IBF world featherweight encounter in Manchester last December.

Dogboe, who is moving up in weight, was a former sparring partner of Frampton. He lost his WBO super bantamweight title after being defeated by Emanuel Navarrete last December. They had a rematch earlier this year, with Navarrete stopping him this time around. Dogboe has not fought since the rematch loss in May, and he took a lot of punishment in both defeats.

Frampton's countryman, Olympian Michael Conlan, is going to face Vladimir Nikitin in a rematch in New York on December.

They were scheduled to fight a few weeks ago in Falls Park, but the contest fell out after Nikitin withdrew after tearing his bicep.

Nikitin won a controversial decision over Conlan in the 2016 Rio Olympic games. Both fighters would later sign promotional agreements with Top Rank.

Conlan still saw action last month, after Diego Alberto Ruiz stepped in to replace Nikitin. Conlan broke Ruiz down and secured a stoppage victory before a wild home crowd.
