Ben Shalom is looking to continue promoting in both the UK and in Saudi Arabia.

The Boxxer promoter has had mixed fortunes in the Middle East, with heavyweight hope Frazer Clarke getting stopped in a round by Fabio Wardley, Ben Whittaker’s stock dropping against Liam Cameron and Chris Billam-Smith losing his WBO title.

However, on Riyadh Season bills, Martin Bakole steamrolled Jared Anderson, Joshua Buatsi defeated Willy Hutchinson and Chris Eubank Jr stopped Kamil Szeremeta.

“We’re discussing things at the moment around a few fighters,” Shalom said. “Obviously we’ve got to do what’s right for our fighters and if we’re honest, yes, Bakole, Eubank and Buatsi, are all obvious fighters that we’ll discuss [with Riyadh Season] but our stable is a lot younger than the other promoters and we want to build our fighters into the next stars, whether that’s Callum Simpson, Adam Azim, Caroline Dubois, Lauren Price, Ben Whittaker. It’s not always the right situation for every fighter, so we want to make sure that we’re building consistent British shows with future headliners of the sport.

“I think the big Riyadh shows are important, but also the big British shows are important for creating the next stars and the next generation and I think everyone understands that, so for us it’s not always right. It’s not always the best option for every fighter.”

Shalom promotes in Liverpool on December 14 with Natasha Jonas headlining and in Sheffield on January 12 with Callum Simpson top of the bill.
