The world junior flyweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organization (WBO), Buenos Aires star Yésica "Tuti" Bopp, moved up in weight to capture the vacant WBO flyweight crown with a ten round decision victory over Santa Fe's Daniela "La Bonita" Bermudez at the sports stadium in Rio Grande Carlos Margalot, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Bopp dominated the first half of fight using her speed both front and lateral movement to shut her opponent out. In the second half, the fight became more physical with Bermudez imposing her strength and Bopp outfighting her and using her quick boxing to score points.
The scores were 98-92, 97-93, 97-93 for Bopp, who raises her record to 27-1, 12KOs, while Bermudez drops down to 16-3-2, 5KOs and saw her eleven fight win streak snapped.
