The promoter 'Fresh Productions' had a packed crowd for their event 'Night of Prospects III' at the Coliseum Cosme Beitia in Puerto Rico.

In the main event, unbeaten prospect Alfredo 'Ojo' Santiago (7-0, 2 KO) got the biggest win of his career with a ten round majority decision over former world title challenger Jayson 'La Maravilla' Vélez (23-4-1, 16 KO).

The loss is a major setback for Velez, who now lost his fourth fight in a row and hasn't picked up a win since June of 2015. The scores were 98-92, 97-93 and 95-95. 

Santiago used his physical advantages to outbox Velez, who was unable to make the necessary adjustments in the contest.

"Thanks to all the fans who came together and supported their favorite boxers," said Santiago after his win.

"Jayson Velez is a warrior and I want to thank him for giving me the opportunity to fight him. This fight was a great experience for me and my team. Thanks to Fresh Productions for doing this card and trusting me."

For the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) world title at 126 pounds, Carolina's Cindy Serrano (26-4-3, 10 KO) became world champion with a ten round majority decision over Colombian boxer Calixta Silgado (15-8-3, 10 KOs). In winning, Serrano and her sister Amanda have become the first sister world champions in the history of women's boxing. The scores were 96-94, 99-91 and 95-95.

"I told them," said Cindy Serrano, "It's an honor to be part of the history of Puerto Rican world champions and more to make history with my sister Amanda as being the first sisters world champions at the same time and representing Puerto Rico ".

Alberto Machado (16-0, 14 KOs) of San Juan needed only two rounds to blast out Orlando Rizo (19-9, 11 KO) of Nicaragua.

Another career took a major hit on the event, as undefeated prospect Subriel Matthew (4-0, 4 KO) knocked out one-time rising prospect Jeffrey Fontanez (16-3, 12 KO) of Caguas in two rounds.
