Later tonight, Adrien Broner will go for his fourth world title in his home state of Ohio. He faces Russia's Khabib Allakhverdiev at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Broner (30-2, 22 KOs), who captured titles at super featherweight, lightweight and welterweight, battles Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs) - a former WBA "regular" 140-pound champion - in the main event of a  Showtime (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) card.

The vacant WBA 'regular' junior welterweight world title will be at stake.

In the televised co-feature, undefeated IBF Junior Lightweight World Champion Jose Pedraza (20-0, 12 KOs) will defend his title against former world title challenger Edner Cherry (24-6-2, 19 KOs).

During the pre-fight promotion, Broner refused to do any interviews and said little to nothing at the media conferences.

While being interviewed by Showtime's Mark Kriegel, Broner became irritated when he was told that winning four world titles was "nothing" in terms of what he was trying to accomplish. Kriegel told the boxer that he believed his real goal was trying to succeed as the man who takes over for Floyd Mayweather Jr. as boxing's next big attraction.

"That's the reason I didn't do interviews, I had nothing to say.  All I have to do is prove it in the ring. [All I have to prove to myself] is that I am going to be a four time world champion in four different weight classes," Broner said.

"Have you ever won a [world title]? Then you can't say that four times is nothing. You have guys like you, guys who are computer gangsters, you beat up boxers with your mouth because you know how to talk. But at the end of the day, until you really get inside that ring, you can't say four times is nothing - so to me four times is everything because tomorrow is never promised. So don't ever tell me and I hope that you never tell another boxer that one of their accomplishments is nothing."
