When I was a Marine on deployment myself and two other Marines were chosen to be the security detail for Captains mast.

Non-judicial punishment (or NJP) is any form of punishment that may be applied to individual military personnel, without a need for a court martial.

Why the Marines on a Navy ship? If any of you served on a Navy ship you know the Master at Arms is the police force on the Navy ships. Long story short the Master at Arms were patrolling a part berthing compartment (Sleep area) that was unoccupied and they found two sailors doing the nasty. Thus the marine security because the Master at Arms would be testifying.

Tuns out one of the sailors was married and had kids. When the Captains mast was over it was pretty clear what had happened.

The captain stated "I only have one question who's the B*I*T*C*H?"

I was a young man but the captain brought clarity to the situation.

One was the jackhammer and one was the asphalt.
