Peakaboo: Fighting a taller pressure fighter?

The Peakaboo stance is meant to be a speeding wall, but some taller fighters fight back knowing its weakness to fighters coming forward. I can't even establish ring dominance and I'm forced to fight as an outside fighter with a useless and shorter jab.

How'd one fight a Mando Ramos-styled (classic boxing stance and delayed right hand) taller fighter?

If they are coming forward that's better for a peekaboo fighter. It means you don't have to go chase them and they are putting themselves in your range, they can now be hit with your punches.

You should still be moving your head a lot. And don't forget to do springs and twists to get to the side of them when necessary.

But otherwise you should be very happy because they walked right into your wheelhouse.

This is a continuation off your other post. When a larger taller guy advances on you.. you need to keep the fight in close. With shorter arms and build it gives you ample opportunity to dig in short crisp shots. Get inside of those long arms with fast feet and head movement...if he advances on you, advance on him right back. Make it a phonebooth affair. Ugly even. Guys with long arms can't leverage punches as well up close. It's simple geometry. So angle in on him! As long as your shots have more leverage...you SHOULD have the upper hand. If he seeks to sap your strength by leaning on you when you get in on him..don't be afraid to get as scrappy as you need to. Holding and Leaning is an illegal tactic so you may respond in kind.also being shorter and more compact ..you can slip under one side of his hold and dig a hook into his ribs as a parting gift.

There's a guy on YouTube named Sayf Carman who is perfect for these type of questions. He specializes in these styles because he was taught the peekaboo style along time ago. He's a veteran old timer who actually teaches how to fight from the peekaboo.

Go on YouTube and search for a channel named TheUmmahFightCamp. Post a question on one of his lasted videos and he should reply back to you
