I was wondering if anyone has heard of this and what they think of the approach.
From a basic search, it is a diet made up of a five day eating schedule. This is just based off of free info I found and I'm not sure exactly how accurate it is. I am also not sure about the exact order of the days (just that the fast day is after the cheat day).
There is one day of just protein shakes, one day of low carb, one day of moderate carb, and one cheat day, where you eat as much of anything you want. The fifth day is a water and green tea only fast for 24 hours.
The theory behind it is that it keeps your metabolism going while simultaneously creating caloric deficits and keeping leptin levels high (so your body doesn't go into starvation mode).
There is also a workout program of some sort included, which I believe focuses on glycogen depletion for the day before the cheat day but I'm not 100%.
Personally, I'm not willing to drop almost $70 on a diet book but I was wondering what you guys think of this approach - especially compared to some of the more established crash diets out there, like Rapid Fat Loss and the Velocity diet.
