Being a pacifist I got picked on alot built up a high tolerance for pain and spent many nights in the mirror imagining how i would fight back(shadow boxing). Took up wing chun and tai chi wanted to do something that was a bit more training baised less internal energy.I always liked sparring with my friends which is ok with me since its not out of anger so i took up boxing since i allready had gloves and stuff from sparring, and i figure if im just boxing im not going to be fighting people out of anger im just going to be doing the sport.

I had always liked watching boxing when i was young and then had a step dad who loved it, we would watch fights and such together. So he and my mom get divorced one day and Im in a brand new school the first day of English class. This kid sitting in front of me just turns around and says that he could kick my ass, that he was a boxer. I was shocked to hear anything about a boxing gym, let alone one near my new house. So he tells me to meet him there that night, that he would pay my membership fee and thoroughly kick my ass. I said game on and showed up that night waiting for him. He never showed but I did every night that I could after that. After about 60 amatuer fights and 7 pro I walked away from it for different reasons but returned as a referee and judge in the amatuers. I'll be reffing/judging the pros in the near future. Took and passed the Association of Boxing Commisions pro test and passed but got pulled away from it for a while. A retest and Im on, you'll see me in the future...............Rockin'

As for having/working with people who want to fight I found this. They all want to tell people that they are boxers and have everybody think that they are fighters but dont want to work hard to become a fighter. When I train somebody I will make sure that they are in shape for a fight, ofcourse with the skill to compete. I did what I did as a fighter and have a reputation for coming to fight, Im not going to embarress myself or ruin my reputation just because some guy wants to have 1 fight so he can brag that hes a fighter. Work hard, train hard and fight hard and Ill be in your corner with smiles..............Rockin'

Truth is, people can tell you **** all day long, but they don't mean what they say...and you never know what they are thinking. Lately, I've been reading some stuff about this system they are developing where they can point a laser or something at a guy's skull and figure out if he saw something or was in a particular place. Some person in India actually got convicted of a murder based on this method. Wouldn't it be nice to have that in a training facility to see who's full of **** and who isn't from the get-go?
I remember reading this site a long time ago lurking and saw a post of yours. You said, "Rumble, young man, rumble". I read later in a book that was what Ali's camp did when he went up against Liston the first time. I know that's out of place, but it's just what I remember from years ago.

i tried boxing, well mainly because, my dad used to do martial arts himself.
Though that wasn't the reason why i did boxing. I did boxing cause i didn't live to my best potential like school and other sports. Taking up boxing just came to me naturally so i tried it out, for now i have an off and on relationship with boxing, i started at 14, and stopped, hopefully I'll go back when my schools officially done. It is a great sport.
