    weighted skippin ropes

    i have a wieghted skippin rope its about 5kg i use when i train is that gd or bad thing to use? my arms hurt more then my legs all the time when i use them.

    I've never used a weighted jump rope. I always a speed rope to build on my speed, agility, stamina, and endurance. Then to up that after 20 minutes, I use ankle weights. And in boxing having good speed and agiltiy can give you a huge advantage. If your well conditioned. So I think you should use a plastic speed rope. You can get them for like 5 bucks.

      twisting your wrist with the weights will make them stronger. lessening the chance of injury during punching

        Jump with a speed rope but attach wrist weights to your arms. Then you've got the best of both, extra weight without losing rope speed.
