Comments Thread For: Back to hell: Tim Tszyu braced for rewrite and redemption in Sebastian Fundora rematch

Even though Sebastian Fundora needed to surrender his WBO junior-middleweight belt to make it happen, a return fight with Australia?s former champion Tim Tszyu will occur July 19 as the co-main event to the Manny Pacquiao-Mario Barrios welterweight title fight in Las Vegas.

I am glad that Tim has learned not to look past the current fight. I was always cringing every time he was talking about future fights and future opponents. It is a rookie mistake in all walks of life that will make sure you fail again and again until you learn this valuable lesson.

So where is Bakhram Murtazaliev in all the potential doings at 154?
I get why Zoo garners the attention and press (such as this article) but Murt destroyed Zoo, retained his title in the process, and established himself as the legit boogeyman of the division IMHO. As a fan, Murtazaliev is the guy I really want to see, not Zoo (Sorry, Tim, it's nothing personal).
Is it bad management? Not enough fan base?
Yeah, Fundora-Zoo II will be one to watch, but let's have the winner unify vs. Murtazaliev.

I have often asked the same question and all you hear about Murtazaliev is crickets. I am guessing he is way too dangerous and completely unknown outside of hard core boxing fans which means he brings a lot of risk and no money to the table. He is growing old not fighting anyone. Vergil has the balls to fight him, but Oscar is on record as not approving that fight (too many killers in a row for Vergil).

Lubin is good but a level or two below Mutazaliev I suspect.
We need the A-list elite challengers before Murtazaliev ages out.
If His Most Excellent Excellency is so frickin' excellent as the Savior of Boxing, where is he in all of this?

Lubin became mandatory after his last fight , so he’ll have to fight Lubin or get stripped unless Lubin got a better paying opportunity and passed on the mando shot.

Not many seem too interested in fighting Murta, so I’d be happy with at least the Lubin fight in the mean time.

He's in hell now with the team he has around him! These morons (Rose bros) will listen to the fighter and keep the same hapless corner that blew the first fight. They would be better off with Crocodile Dundee in the corner!

He's a victim of his name. He will never get big fights unless he goes on a GGG winning spree or shortens his name
