It was McCallum at his best. It was similar to the dominance shown by Hopkins in his fight with trinidad. Watson could not deal with McCallum that night, and was completely over matched. The fight should have been stopped several rounds earlier. I believed the beating watson received in this fight set him up to be brain damaged before he was ko'd by Eubank.

Havent seen it, Do you have a DL link?

Mike McCallum was a very well respected guy, Iv'e heard people say nothing but good things about him. James Toney gives him alot of respect as does Roy Jones Jr and Emanuel Steward also. I need to see this fight.

It was a case of a world class fighter vs a euro b level fighter, the difference in skill level was amazing. McCallum was:
        -jabbing
        -4-5 punch combos,
        -body punching
        - countering

Watson falling back and ****ing his head on the bottom rope is what caused the clot to form in his head (in the eubank fight)

The Watson fight was a good win for him. I think Mccallum at his best was against Don Curry. The KO was a blitz:

The Curry fight was his most spectacular win, but he was being outclassed and outboxed by Curry until the left hook paralyzed Curry. Against Watson, it was a virtuoso performance.

Steve Collins in an interview felt that the McCallum fight helped contribute to the blood clot. I was a fan of Watson's since the day he ko'd Benn. I was so disappointed in how his career ended. He got robbed in the first Eubank fight and was about to ko Chris when he got caught.

Curry was a p4p fighter. I thought McCallum held his own in there before the KO.
