Hearns can outbox him on the outside easily with his jab, speed and reach.

The biggest question would be if Hearns stops him. Mayweathers defense on the inside is excellent but is it good enough to avoid hearns all night if hearns decides he wants to brawl and go for the KO which is pretty much every fight for him...

He said why just before he mentioned he was greater.

Because boxing is Floyd, he hasn't put his life into the sport to admit that somebody is better then him, anyone else would probably do the same.
