The GBM Sports promotion that was scheduled to be headlined by Kieran Molloy-Kaisee Benjamin at the Pearse Stadium in Galway, Ireland on June 28 has been relocated to England and the Connexin Live Arena in Hull.
It is also instead on course to be headlined by the European light-heavyweight title fight between Englishmen Shakan Pitters and Brad Rea.
The promotional organisation is also seeking opponents for their compatriots Hughie Fury and Shakiel Thompson, Ireland’s Sean McComb, and the Dutchman Gradus Kraus. The status of Molloy-Benjamin, like the previously scheduled English-Irish super-middleweight contest between Lerrone Richards and Joe Ward, is to be determined.
“I’m really looking forward to this European light-heavyweight title clash between Shakan Pitters and Brad Rea,” said GBM Sports’ Izzy Asif. “These are two very hungry fighters who both know that winning this title is the key to securing big future opportunities and making a name at world level.
“This will be a hell of contest, with both boxers leaving everything in the ring.”
