LAS VEGAS – Junior flyweight Naomy Valle believes the sky is the limit for her career – which is not just a saying for her. She is also looking to become an aviator.
Valle returns as part of the undercard of Jake Paul-Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr undercard, against veteran Ashley Felix in a six-round bout.
Valle, 14-0 (9 KOs), 21, is the younger sister of multi-division titleholder Yokasta Valle, who recently signed with Most Valuable Promotions, the promotional entity headed by Jake Paul. She is also currently studying aviation and earlier this year completed her first flight. She hopes that 2025 will afford her big opportunities not just in the ring, but in life as well.
“With big opportunity comes big responsibility,” Valle told BoxingScene. “This motivates me to work even harder and keep growing.
“The sky is not the limit – that’s just what pilots say. And I say that because I’m also studying to become one.”
Valle has already fought once this year in Mexico. Before that, all of her fights took place in her home country of Costa Rica. Since turning professional in 2022 she has stayed very active. Valle now hopes that she can follow in the footsteps of her sister and become a titleholder
“Signing with MVP is a huge step,” Valle said. “What Jake Paul and MVP are doing for boxing is incredible. People in the boxing world have been reaching out, congratulating me – it’s crazy how powerful their presence is on social media. Everyone knows now.”
Valle faces Felix, 7-3 (1 KO), a 21-year-old from Tijuana, Mexico, who has tested American prospects such as Gudalupe Medina and Brook Sibrian.
Valle credited her team, which included Mario Vega, her sister Yokasta Valle, and Reza Torkzadeh, her manager in the U.S., for securing the deal. Valle explained that she has received many calls and texts about the signing and that she is thrilled about the potential exposure she will get once she fights.
“Imagine when I get to show my boxing skills,” Valle said. “That’s going to be next level.”
