A title triple-header takes place in Japan on July 30 when one of the finest fighters in the sport, Kenshiro Teraji, defends his WBA and WBC flyweight titles against Ricardo Sandoval.

Daigo Higa takes on Antonio Vargas for the WBA bantamweight title on the same bill and Kyosuke Takami faces Erick Rosa for the WBA light flyweight belt.

Teraji, the 33-year-old “Amazing Boy,” is 25-1 (16 KOs) and stopped Seigo Yuri Akui in the 12th round of a war in March.

Sandoval, who fights out of Rialto, California, is 26-2 (18 KOs) and “El Nino” has won six in a row since a 2022 majority decision defeat to David Jimenez. Sandoval is ranked No. 3 by the IBF and WBA, No. 4 by the WBC and No. 2 by the WBO.

Texas-born Vargas, fighting out of Kissimmee, Florida, is 19-1 (11 KOs), and has scored victories over Hernan Marquez, Jonathan Rodriguez and Winston Guerrero in his last three.

Higa is 21-3-2 (19 KOs) and two fights ago lost to Yoshiki Takei in a bid for the WBO bantamweight belt. Higa is ranked No. 3 with the WBA and at four with the WBC.

In February, he drew with Seiya Tsutsumi.

Meanwhile, the 9-0 (7 KOs) Takami meets WBA champion Rosa, who comes from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Rosa is 8-0 (2 KOs) and Takami is the top challenger with the WBA, ranked No. 2 with the WBO, NO. 3 with the WBC and No. 4 with the WBA.

Teiken Promotions will stage the show at the Yokohama Buntai, Yokohama.
