Later this evening at Aviator Sports & Events Center in Brooklyn, former two-division titlist Zab Judah faces unbeaten Vernon in a 12-round title eliminator.

At stake in their main event - which airs live on NBC Sports Network - is a shot at the winner of the May 19 rematch between Lamont Peterson and Amir Khan.

Tomasz Adamek emerged victorious in the evening's co-feature, scoring a virtual shutout over Nagy Aguilera (17-7, 12KO) in their 10-round heavyweight scrap. 

The bout was the first for Adamek since falling way short in his failed title bid against Vitali Klitshcko last September. He improves to 45-2 (28KO) and will headline a June 16 telecast of NBC Sports Network Fight Night at the Prudential Center in Newark, where the Polish heavyweight has developed as a huge attraction. 

Opening the broadcast was unbeaten Bryant Jennings, who now has two televised win on the NBC Sports Network Fight Night series. The Philly-based heavyweight scored the biggest win of his young career, forcing a stoppage of former heavyweight titlist Siarhei Liakhovich after nine rounds.

Jennings (13-0, 6KO) dominated from the opening bell, rocking Liakhovich on several occasions and causing visible damage under and around his left eye. A brutal eighth round saw Liakhovich (25-5, 16KO) at the mercy of the referee who allowed the action to continue. The corner wasn't quite as kind, opting to keep the ex-champ on his ring stool prior to the start of the 10th round.

The official time was 3:00 of round nine.

Colombian cruiserweight Santander Silgado scored an eight-round unanimous decision win against Willie Herring tonight on the Zab Judah-Vernon Paris undercard at Aviator Sports & Events Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Silgado won a very competitive fight 78-74 on the scorecards of Robert Perez and Robin Taylor and won 77-75 on Kevin Morgan’s scorecard. Silgado, a Brooklyn resident, improved to 21-0, but failed to record a knockout for just the third time as a pro. Herring, of Orlando, Fla., slipped to 13-10-3.

Curtis Stevens impressed his hometown fans tonight by flooring Cleveland’s Romaro Johnson three times en route to a first-round technical knockout win on the Zab Judah-Vernon Paris undercard at Aviator Sports & Events Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The last knockdown, from Stevens’ left-right combination, left Johnson face-first on the canvas and ended the scheduled six-round middleweight match 2:16 in it. Before tonight, the 27-year-old Stevens (22-3, 16 KOs) had not fought in more than two years, not since losing to Jesse Brinkley (35-7, 22 KOs), who won their 12-round IBF super middleweight elimination match by unanimous decision in January 2010, in Reno, Nev.

The 37-year-old Johnson (11-6-1, 5 KOs) has lost four straight fights.

In the first bout on the seven-fight card, Brooklyn’s Angel Garcia (2-0, 2 KOs) scored a second-round technical knockout victory over Alan Beeman (0-1), of Providence, R.I.
