Harvey Horn has had a new date sprung upon him earlier than expected.
The former Team GB amateur had been set to fight as a professional for the fourth time last weekend.
Horn was meant to meet Cristian Narvaez at the Brentwood Centre in Essex, exclusively live on BT Sport.
But the 23-year-old was forced to sit it out after his opponent pulled out at late notice.
It was thought that ‘HHH’ would have to wait until next year to return.
However, the ex-unpaid starlet has been given a touch by his promoter Frank Warren and will fight on Saturday at Manchester Arena.
Horn will form part of the supporting cast to Josh Warrington’s IBF featherweight world title defence against former two-time world champion Carl Frampton, exclusively live on BT Sport Box Office.
“[I am] buzzing to announce I’ll now be fighting on the massive [Josh] Warrington [vs. Carl] Frampton card in Manchester!” the former under-22 European champion, who will face Josue Bendana (10-8-4, 6 KOs) over six rounds, wrote on social media.
“[A] big thanks to [promoter Frank Warren] for putting me on one of the best cards of the year. [It is] short notice but fortune favours the brave.”
The card will feature Mark Heffron’s tasty vacant British middleweight title clash against Liam Williams and Martin Murray’s WBC Silver middleweight title defence against Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam.
Lyndon Arthur and Nathan Gorman fight alongside Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Sam Maxwell.
Michael Conlan's second pro fight on British soil is also on the bill with the return of former WBC flyweight world title challenger Paddy Barnes.
Jack Massey will fight in a tickover showing before he vies for the vacant WBO European cruiserweight title against a foe to be confirmed at the Morningside Arena in Leicester in February, Tyson Fury's debutant brother Tommy Fury boxes alongside Troy Williamson and Billy Joe Saunders returns in the hope of ending what has been something of a nightmare year.
