Juan De La Rosa, the trainer of previously undefeated contender Mariusz Wach (27-1, 15 KOs), says he never considered stopping the fight as his boxer was being battered by unified champion Wladimir Klitschko (59-3, 50 KOs) on Saturday night in Hamburg. Wach stayed chin strong, took the shots and went the full twelve round distance.

"I did not think for a single moment of throwing in the towel. I knew, however, that he thought the referee would stop the fight. He came to the corner and pointed out to me that Mariusz was taking very big punches. He was, however, well prepared. He showed great strength. Just a few weeks ago no one knew who Mariusz Wach was. Now millions of people around the world got to know him - added the coach of Puerto Rico.
