WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will surely face WBA ex-champion Nikolai Valuev, promised the co-promoter of the “Russian Giant” - Don King, who is still making the rounds with the press in Kiev, Ukraine.

“I think it will happen, because people have been waiting for this bout for a long time. It’s extremely important. Klitschko represents Ukraine and Valuev represents Russia, Saint-Petersburg. This fight will be very exciting," King told Liga News.

King also explained that this bout had been postponed due to a number of reasons that have been financial and even political. King also assumed that the fight would be so important that “it will be heard of even in the African jungles."

The WBC has ordered Valuev to fight undefeated Odlanier Solis in a heavyweight eliminator with the winner getting a deserved shot at Klitschko.
