On April 12th, Jessie Vargas will step in the ring in what will be the biggest fight of his career when he faces WBA junior welterweight champion Khabib Allakhverdiev. The fight will be broadcast on the televised portion of the HBO pay-per-view undercard of the Manny Pacquiao-Tim Bradley rematch.

krikya360.com recently caught up with Vargas and asked him for his opinion on the Pacquiao-Bradley rematch. Vargas didn't want to say too much about the fight because he hopes to face both of them down the road and insists that all of his focus is on Khabib.

"Those are good fighters and are possible future opponents but right now I am focused on Khabib because that is what I have in front of me.  I have to take care of him first," Vargas explained.

Vargas has campaigned as a welterweight the past two years but doesn't anticipate any problems getting down to the junior welterweight limit. He things that he will be even stronger at the lower weight.

"There is no question that this is the biggest fight of my career.  I am very excited about this opportunity.  One thing that we will do is we will start camp lighter.  I want to go into camp at 147 or 148 pounds," Vargas told krikya360.com.
