Belfast heavyweight Martin Rogan (14-2, 7KOs) will fight former Commonwealth and British champion Tyson Fury (17-0, 12KOs) on the 14th of April.

Former Commonwealth champion Rogan, 40, will have home advantage for the contest which will take place at Belfast's Odyssey Arena.

Plans for a contest between Rogan and Fury, 23, fell through last year but they jointly announced on Saturday night that a contest had been agreed.

Fury is currently ranked in the world's top 10 by the WBC.

The Manchester-born fighter vacated his British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles earlier this month after a proposed bout with English champion David Price fell through.

Fury, who has Irish family connections, won the titles on points in July 2011 against Dereck Chisora.

His last fight was a defence of his Commonwealth heavyweight title in November when he stopped Neven Pajkic in round three in Manchester.

Rogan was a shock winner over Audley Harrison in December 2008 and then beat Matt Skelton to lift the Commonwealth belt before losing that title to Sam Sexton in May 2009.

Sexton stopped Rogan in a rematch six rounds six months later.
