Former two-division word champion Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12KOs) would love the opportunity to test his skill against Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs), who currently holds the WBC championship at the middleweight limit of 160-pounds.

Bradley returns on Saturday night against Diego Chaves in an HBO televised main event from the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Talks are ongoing for a possible May fight between Cotto and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, but the two sides are not even close to a deal.

There were previous discussions of Bradley facing Cotto on a date in December. Those talks were placed on the bench after Cotto decided to postpone his return until 2015.

Bradley would likely move up to 154-pounds for the fight. Cotto's weighed in at 155-pounds for his only middleweight appearance and probably could still make the junior middleweight limit quite easy.

"Yeah, I like that [fight]....cause Cotto brings it and I bring it. I think it would be a great exciting fight. Styles make fights. Cotto brings a certain element to the ring....he's aggressive, he comes to fight, he's a workhorse. I bring a certain element as well. I can fight in spurts, I can brawl, I can box. I just think it's a great mix. And he's not that big. Cotto, I've seen him. He's probably about your size...big legs, big body, but he doesn't tower over me. I think that would be a real comfortable fight for me," Bradley said.
