Thomas Stalker will return to the ring in the near future.

The former WBO European lightweight champion has been out of the ring since losing to Craig Evans last November.

But the Frank Warren-promoted fighter, 32, has announced via social media that his return is imminent.

Stalker (11-2-3, 2 KOs) has been confirmed as an addition to the aforementioned Warren’s April 22 card at Leicester Arena, exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation.

He will box over six rounds against an opponent to be named, as part of a card topped by Tommy Langford’s clash with Avtandil Khurtsidze for the vacant WBO interim world middleweight title.

Elsewhere on the card, Tyrone Nurse is set to defend his British super-lightweight title against Joe Hughes, Jahmaine Smyle is down to defend his English super-middleweight belt against Darryll Williams.

Undefeated talent Leon Woodstock will challenge for his first title as he takes on Paul Holt for the vacant Midlands Area super-featherweight title, while there is action for Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Sam Maxwell, Raza Hamza, Brad Foster and Ekow Essuman.

CJ Challenger and Indi Sangha are also set to feature.

In other news, Chris Hobbs will defend his Southern Area light-heavyweight title against Anthony Yarde.

The fight, which was confirmed by Frank Warren’s office on Wednesday, has been added to the undercard of Liam Walsh’s IBF super-featherweight world title challenge against Gervonta Davis on May 20 at London’s Copper Box Arena, exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation.

And across the promotional divide at Matchroom Boxing, Conor Benn is expected to return to the ring on June 3 at the O2 Arena in London.

Benn (6-0, 4 KOs) was last in action in December, as part of the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s IBF heavyweight world title defence against Eric Molina at Manchester Arena, and after spending some time out to work on his craft, he is expected to make his comeback on Eddie Hearn’s next bill at the Greenwich venue, which is set to be headlined by WBC International heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte.
