Former world title challengers Thomas Dulorme (26-6) and Lenin Castillo (23-4-1) picked up much needed wins Friday night at the Coliseo Carlos “Teo” Cruz in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Dulorme entered the fight having lost three fights in a row versus the likes of Jaron “Boots” Ennis, Eimantas Stanionis, and Jamal James. He took Terrell Williams' “0” away in his most recent win which was his Premier Boxing Champions debut in 2019.

Dulorme came into the fight weighing a career high 157-pounds and the difference in power and skill was evident early on versus Abraham Peralta (19-12).  A big right hand floored the Dominican Republic’s Peralta in the second round but was ruled a slip. Seconds later he would hit the canvas again but this time Dulorme was credited with a knockdown. Peralta would rise to his feet and survive the round but failed to answer the bell for the third round and quit on his stool.

Dulorme looks to fight a contender in the welterweight or super welterweight division in the fall.

Castillo was just as impressive in dispatching Wilson Santana (14-4) in 4 rounds. The light heavyweight veteran came at 185-pounds for the fight and looked sharp from the opening bell. He landed several crisp dominations versus his overmatched opponent.

A big right hand would send Santana to the canvas in the third round which prompted the referee to stop the fight.  Castillo has now won 2 fights in a row since a frightening knockout loss to Callum Smith in September on the Anthony Joshua-Oleksandr Usyk undercard in Tottenham.

With two wins in a row, Castillo hopes to fight a ranked opponent in his next ring appearance.
