Allentown, PA - Tevin Farmer vs Carlos Vinan - 8 Rounds Lightweight - Tevin Farmer, made the most of it, when he stepped in the ring for the 7th time and 2013. Farmer was ripping Vinan with tremendous body shots and combinations throughout the fight. The rugged Vinan refused to back down to Farmer but the beating was becoming worse round after round. Farmer looked like he was prepared for 12 rounds, was phenomenal. He put great combinations together while mixing vicious power inside them. Finally Vinan's corner seen enough, even though Vinan kept coming, and stopped the fight at the end of the 6th round. Your winner via TKO, Tevin Farmer. Farmer goes to (14-4) while Vinan falls to (10-12-5).
Kassim Ouma vs Rahman Yusubov - 6 Rounds Junior Middleweight - In the first two rounds the former champion Ouma was working great from the outside but would be hit occasionally by Yusubov when he allowed him to get in the inside. Ouma continued to box from the outside land solid combinations throughout the rounds. From time to time Yusubov was able to land solid shots on Ouma. While Ouma still showed speed and accuracy from the past his ability to avoid a punch seemed to slow down as Yusubov was able to land solid shots on Ouma. Yusubov was also not the quickest puncher which raises concerns for the future about Ouma's defense. Though offensively Ouma looked great with his speed, accuracy, and combinations and the judges agreed. After the final bell, the judge's scorecards read 59-55 across the board for you winner, via unanimous decision, Kasim "The Dream" Ouma. With the "w", Kasim Ouma jumps to (28-8-1) while Yusubov falters to (9-13).
Antonio Dubose vs Jesus Gonzalez - 4 Rounds Featherweight - Dubose made very quick work of his opponent Gonzalez. The 1st knockdown came after a perfectly placed right hand which Gonzalez was able to bounce right back up. Dubose scored his 2nd knockdown with a vicious right hand which Gonzalez bounced back up from again. Same thing happened with the 3rd knockdown but even tough Gonzalez shot right up the refereee had enough calling a halt to the action at the 2:16 mark of Round 1. Dubose rises to (3-0) while Gonzalez drops to (1-4).
John Lennox vs. Kevin Franklin - 6 Rounds Heavyweight - For 6 rounds both men traded back and forth around the ring. It had the feel of an old school Philly club fight just not in Philly but right outside in Allentown, PA. As they moved around the ring trading blow for blow back and forth, Lennox looked to have the slight advantage each round. Lennox was the aggressor and pack a little bit more pop in his punches. Franklin was very game on the other hand sometimes backing Lennox up as he kept coming forward. Both men seemed to land at will but Lennox had the advantage because he was able to put more punches together. After the final bell, in a very close bout, the judges scored the bout 59-55 Franklin, 59-55 Lennox, & 58-56 for your winner, via Split Decision, John Lennox. With the victory Lennox ascends to (12-2), while Franklin tumbles down to (4-8).
Tyrone McKenna vs Jeffrey Combs - 4 Rounds Jr Welterweight - "Belfast Bred, Philly based" Tyrone "The Beast" McKenna put on a 4 round boxing clinic on the overmatched but game Jeffrey Combs. Combs had a few moments early but showed tremendous heart never backing down to the very skillful McKenna. McKenna was putting together beautiful combinations that were laced with power. In an earlier interview with krikya360.com, McKenna said he learned new techinques and display them in the ring and that is just what he did. The young McKenna looking nothing less than incredible in just his 3rd pro fight. We have a great prospect on our hand. After the final bell the judges scorecards read 40-36 x 2 & 39-37 in favor, via Unanimous Decision, Tyrone McKenna. McKenna climbs to (3-0) while Combs plummets to (2-11).
