Frenchman Terry Le Couviour (14-0) won the EU super bantamweight title with a close, majority decision over Italian champion Iuliano Gallo (9-3) last night (May 4) in Varese (Italy), After twelve rounds of boxing it was scored 115-114 twice and 114-114.

Middleweight Mikalai Vesialou (10-0-1) retained the WBA Continental title with a points win over Hungarian Norbert Harcsa (11-2) in Charleroi (Belgium) yesterday. Harcsa was a substitute for Michel Garcia.

In other action, Hervé Hubeaux (31-3) won the vacant Belgian heavyweight title with a points win over Jack Mulowai (6-1-1). Hubeaux first won the title back in 2012 at the age of 18 but never defended it and moved on to contest for other titles including the EBU and NABF but came up short.

Cruiserweight Ryad Merhy (28-1) knocked out Argentinian Cesar David Crenz (23-12) in the third of a scheduled ten-rounder.

Also in Belgium but in Brussels: Cruiserweight Joel Tambwe Djeko (16-2-1) outscored Dutchman Ricardo Snijders (17-1) to win the vacant IBO I/C title. Tambwe is in the US promoted by STAR Boxing.

Snijders is have previously held Dutch titles at both cruiserweight and heavyweight as well as the BeNeLux belt.

Spanish heavyweight Gabriel Enguema (9-8) takes on Alvaro Terrero (4-9-2) with the vacant national title at stake May 25 in Madrid. Terrero normally campaigns at cruiser but will move up to heavyweight for this fight.

Swedish light heavyweight Oscar Ahlin (18-2) knocked out Arthit Bunphloeng (3-8-1) at 1.10 of the first round in Dubai Friday night (May 3). Ahlin ended matters with a letf hook to the body.
