IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander is training hard for his upcoming fight against unbeaten challenger Kell Brook. The fight was originally scheduled to take place on January 17th but was postponed when Brook suffered an ankle injury while training.  The new Showtime televised date is February 23rd in Detroit.

Cunningham told Boxingscene that they have brought in a conditioning coach for this fight and that Alexander has looked really sharp in camp.

"Devon is having a tremendous training camp. With the addition of strength and conditioning guru Jason Barbour, Devon looks more explosive than ever," Cunningham stated.

The St. Louis based trainer said that his fighter is 100% focused on his fight against Brook.  He also said that they would be interested in facing the winner of the Paulie Malignaggi versus Shane Mosley fight that is rumored to be taking place on April 27th.

Alexander and Malignaggi exchanged insults earlier this year here on BoxingScene but a fight between the two didn't materialize.  Cunningham said that. They would still welcome a fight against Malignaggi or against Mosley should he win the fight.

"Devon's preparing to win every second of every round in this fight. After he takes care of Brook we would love to get the winner of Malignaggi/Mosley. I like Paulie and Shane so it doesn't matter who wins, just give us the winner.  If that fight takes place we would love to unify with the winner," revealed Cunningham.
