TICKETS FOR BOB DUFFY’S RING PROMOTIONS’ MAY 8 LONG ISLAND, NY FIGHT CARD GOING QUICKLY; FEWER THAN 100 TICKETS REMAIN

A NY State Title Bout, Three Heavweight Matches and a Welterweight War Featuring Long Island Native Chris Algieri Highlight Exciting Fight Card

FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY - Fewer than 100 tickets remain to the 10-bout fight card on May 8 at  the Plattduetsche Park Restaurant in Franklin Square, NY, it was reported by Bob Duffy’s Ring Promotions.  The Long Island, NY promoter also warned that those who don’t purchase tickets now may find themselves out of luck on fight night.  “We have sold out our last four events and this show will probably sell out also, so I am concerned that people who wait till the last minute will wind up empty-handed,” said Duffy.

Tickets, priced at $150 (limited tables-seven course dinner-Sold Out), $100 (Reserved Ringside) and $50 (General Admission), can be purchased by calling Plattduetsche Park Restaurant at 516-354-3131 or by visiting .  Plattduetsche Park Restaurant is conveniently located at 1132 Hempstead Turnpike, just ½ mile east of Belmont Racetrack.

In addition to the May 8 main event featuring an eight round contest between NY State Welterweight Champion Daniel Sostre Plainview, NY contender Tommy Rainone, there are several undercard bouts that may steal the show:

Undefeated New York welterweight Chris Algieri (5-0, 3 KO’s) will challenge Guaynabo, Puerto Rican native Eric Rodriguez (4-3, 2 KO’s) in a six round war that Duffy believes may be the fight of the night.  “These two kids will be bombs away from the opening bell until the final bell.  This fight alone makes the fight card a must-see.”

Dominican heavyweight Nagy Aguilera (11-1, 7 KO’s), a Newburgh, NY resident by way of the Dominican Republic, will face his stiffest test to date when he battles Zack Page, a Warren, OH heavyweight who just last week upset previously-unbeaten heavyweight prospect Eugene Hill.  Hill had entered the April 24 bout with a record of 16-0.

Undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight Will Rosinsky (6-0 6 KO’s), who has stopped all six of his opponents, five in the first round, will battle Andre Hemphill.  Hemphill is coming off a September 19, 2008, victory over Richard Stewart.  Rosinsky is a former NY Golden Gloves Champion and a former National Amateur Champion.

Heavyweight Kasim Howard risks his undefeated record when he faces Brooklyn, NY’s Mazur Ali (6-2, 3 KO’s) in a six round contest that is expected to provide action that will bring patrons to their feet.

Popular Irish jr. middleweight James Moore (16-2, 10 KO’s), who battled world ranked contender Yuri Foreman for the NABF jr. middleweight title in his last bout, will challenge Joseph De los Santos in a six round contest.  Moore is looking to stay busy by fighting three times in the next five months.
