Heavyweight Alexander Dimitrenko, reigning IBF Int´l champ and 40-3, will now take on undefeated Serbian Miljan Rovcanin, 18-0, in the headliner of EC Boxing´s show in Hamburg December 22. Rovanin replaced the original opponent Adnan Redzovic, who had to pull out with an arm injury.

EBU light heavyweight champ Karo Murat saw his planned defence against Dominic Boesel December 16 go up in smoke when Boesel withdrew with an injury. No new date have been set and Murat and mandatory challenger Serhyi Demchenko has January 8 as deadline for purse bids or agreement.

Demchenko won the EU title in May and was appointed official challenger for the EBU crown in August so he´s been waiting for his chance for some time.

Erik Skoglund remains in a medically induced coma despite rumors in Swedish media that doctors at Karolinska Medical Center in Stockholm would try to wake him yesterday. However, apparently nothing happened. It´s only when Skoglund is awake that one can determine the extent of his injuries. Skoglund was injured in sparring December 8 and had surgery the same night to repair a bleed on the brain.

Danish super lightweight Enock Poulsen, 6-0, take on Mexican Guadelupe Acosta, 12-2, on Brian Nielsen´s and Mogens Palle´s big show on January 5 in Copenhagen. At stake is the IBF Youth title.

Super middle veteran Lolenga Mock, who takes on Dmitri Chudinov in the headliner, is sparring with tough Russian Viktor Polyakov.

This show was supposed to go ahead in November to celebrate 60 years since the first Mogens Palle promotion but had to be moved due to injuries to Mock and light heavy Jeppe Morell, who goes for the IBF Baltic title against Sven Fornling.
