Cesar Seda Jr. will pause his plans to continue campaigning at 122 pounds. Seda is going to drop down to the bantamweight limit with the goal of securing a fight against the champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Tomoki Kameda of Japan. Seda Sr., father and coach, said he will ask the WBO about potentially fighting for a regional title and then he plans to go after the world belt.

"We would like the people of Golden Boy and the WBO to give us that opportunity. We saw the last fight Kameda. He was losing the fight until he hit that shot to the liver of the Thai challenger. I think 'Junito' has the attributes to beat him," Seda Sr. told Carlos Narvaez.

Kameda has a record of 30-0 and 19 knockouts, while Ceda Jr. is 26-2 with 17 knockouts.
