UNDEFEATED super-featherweight champion Roman Martinez is the big odds-on favourite at 1-4 on Betfair to successfully defend his WBO title at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, on Saturday night.
The unbeaten Martinez takes on Scotland’s Ricky Burns who, despite holding the home advantage, is out at 16-5 to win the 130lb title.
Boasting an impressive record of 15 knock-outs in 24 fights, Martinez can be backed at 11-8 to send his Scottish opponent to the floor. The 27-year-old Puerto Rican is available at 8-11 to win by judges’ decision.
Coatbridge-born Burns, who has suffered two defeats in 28 fights, is a 14-1 chance to win the bout via knockout, while he can be backed at 4-1 to take the fight on points.
Betfair’s Alex Bake said: “Burns will need all the support he can get if he is to win this. Sadly the punters don’t see it happening, which is why they’re backing Martinez to keep his undefeated record intact.”
