Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, who handles eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao, is still very motivated to secure a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Last May, in the most financial lucrative fight in boxing history, Mayweather won a twelve round decision over Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Both fighters retired from the sport in the last year. Mayweather retired from boxing last September after winning a decision over Andre Berto. Pacquiao retired once he defeated Timothy Bradley in their trilogy fight back in April.

Pacquiao is already coming back to boxing in the coming months. Top Rank has set aside November 5th at the Thomas & Mack Center for his return. A few opponents are in the running, but Mayweather is not one of them.

"I know Manny wants the rematch really bad, Manny thought he won the first fight and if you look at it with no commentating, you watch and see him landing more punches. I still was a little disappointed in Manny’s performance but now he’s one hundred percent and I think at one hundred percent, he will destroy him," Roach told .

Mayweather is still undecided on a comeback. He doesn't seem any closer to a ring return. Roach anticipates him fighting again at some point, because of how much money the undefeated fighter spends.

"Mayweather seems to spend a lot of money — he just bought a house in LA. I think the money issue could help both of them, so Manny can build more hospitals, schools and churches," Roach said.

"Manny is a really good guy and when you can bet a million dollars on basketball games, to me that’s maybe a little bit reckless but Mayweather seems to be able to do that. If you can bet a million dollars, you better be able to lose it because you don’t always win. There’s a lot of money on the table still, and I still think the fight does really well. If we get Mayweather after our next fight, it’s like a dream come true."
