Fired up Scotsman Ricky Burns has warned English challenger Nicky Cook that he is no bottle job.

The pair meet in a massive clash at the Liverpool Echo Arena on Saturday 16th July, live on Sky Sports 1HD.

Cocky Cook got on Burns' bad side when he slammed fellow Scottish fighters Scott Harrison and Alex Arthur.

Former WBO World Featherweight Champion Harrison pulled out of his fight against Cook in December 2006, which promoted Cook to call him a bottle job.

Cook then beat Edinburgh star Alex Arthur to claim the WBO World Super-Featherweight title in Manchester two years later.

"I'm looking forward to getting Cook in Liverpool next month and giving him the hardest night of his life," Said Burns

"Cook has got a lot of talk saying that Harrison bottled it and that he beat Arthur, but he's not faced Ricky Burns in his career and he'll know about it on July 16.

"Every world title defence is special but fighting an Englishman in England gives me that extra bit between my teeth to put on a top performance and stop Cook.

"I'm so up for this fight that my trainer Billy Nelson has had to slow me down.

"Nicky better bring his A game or else he will be in trouble."
