Reynaldo "El Maestro" Ojeda remained unbeaten after scoring a unanimous decision over Mexico's Sergio Villanueva.
The bout headlined the latest installment of 'Noche de Campeones' on DirecTV in Puerto Rico. Ojeda (16-0, 9KOs) fought for the first time since a virtual shutout over Patrick Okine last September.
UNDERCARD
Jonathan 'Bomba' Gonzalez (16-1-1, 12KOs) was extended the full distance by Erikson Martell but managed a unanimous decision win. The bout was a rematch to their Sept. '12 affair, in which Gonzalez scored a second round knockout.
Unbeaten lightweight Alberto Mercado (11-0, 3 KOs) was way too much for overmatched Enrique Quiñones (4-11-1, 0 KO), stopping the clubfighter in four rounds.
In one of the few bouts of the night to not land in favor of a local fighter, hapless light heavyweight Jonathan Illas Cordero (0-3) was stopped in the opening round by Cuba's Ramon Luis Nicolás (2-1, 2 KOs).
Derieck Cuevas (4-0, 2 KOs) remains undefeated after stopping José Cruz (0-2) in two rounds.
Marcos Osorio (3-0, 3 KOs) appears to be a super welterweight on the rise, as evidenced of his 2nd round drilling Leroy Padilla (1-9).
Luis "Zurdo" Rosario (5-0-1, 5 KOs) picked up his third consecutive opening round knockout, the latest coming in a quick hit of Antonio Vera (0-5).
Emmanuel "Pirata" De Jesús (14-0, 10 KOs) has now scored knockouts in each of his past four contests after stopping Jorge Cordero (4-11, 4 KOs) inside of two rounds.
Abiel Alamo (1-0, 1 KOs) enjoyed a successful pro debut at the expense of fellow first-time pro Bryant Ríos (0-1), picking a third round knockout in the evening's curtain raiser.
Felix Caraballo 3-0-2, 3KO's) venció por nocaut técnico en el primer asalto a Joseph Mora (0-2) en la división ligero.
